About the Scholarship

The IsDB-ISFD Scholarship Program is an initiative by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD). It aims to support academically brilliant yet financially disadvantaged students from Least Developed Member Countries (LDMCs). This scholarship is for students pursuing Bachelor's degrees and Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) diplomas in Malaysia, Morocco, and Turkey. This program promotes socio-economic development by offering financial aid while also requiring graduates to give back to their communities. Repayments made by graduates will help fund future scholarships for students from their home country.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following requirements: - Must be a resident of one of the 21 LDMCs. - Must be financially disadvantaged but academically exceptional. - Must be under 24 years old at the time of application. - Strong academic performance in science subjects at secondary education level. - Must choose a course from the approved list of programs. - If the university language is English or French, proof of proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent) is required. - Prior admission to an accredited university is encouraged but not mandatory. - Must not be a staff member of IsDB, an Executive Director, or a close relative. - Must not have lived in a country other than their home country. - Must be in good health and undergo a medical examination. - Commitment to return home after graduation to contribute to the development of the nation. - Must pass the IsDB selection process with the support of a local NGO.
